Our experienced WordPress migration team will manage every aspect of your WordPress website transfer, from initial data backup and plugin compatibility checks, to final, seamless deployment and DNS configuration.

We prioritise minimal downtime, allowing your online presence to remain uninterrupted and your business to thrive.

Here’s what you can expect from our free WordPress site migration process:

Step 1
Order Hosting

To begin your free WordPress migration, first sign up for a new WPhost client account and order a WordPress Hosting Plan. This initial step ensures you have the necessary hosting environment for your site. We offer a seamless process to get you started quickly.

Step 2
Complete Migration Form

Fill out our secure migration form with your WP Admin login details and any other relevant information. This form allows our experts to gather the necessary credentials for a smooth WordPress site transfer. If you require an urgent or expedited migration, please select this on the form.

Step 3
Clone Site to WPhost

Our expert team will securely clone a copy of your WordPress website to the WPhost platform. This process is designed to ensure zero downtime, allowing your site to remain fully online during the transfer. We utilise secure methods to protect your data integrity.

Step 4
Preview on Development URL

Before your site goes live, you have the option to preview it on a development URL. This allows you to verify plugin compatibility and performance on our platform. Your existing website remains live and operational during this preview stage.

Step 5
Enable Maintenance Mode (eCommerce)

For eCommerce websites, enabling maintenance mode is highly recommended. This prevents potential data loss during DNS updates by displaying a static page on your current host. Once the DNS is updated and your site is live on WPhost, the maintenance mode is no longer needed.

Step 6
DNS Setup or Domain Transfer
In this stage, we'll either handle your domain name transfer and DNS configuration or provide you with the necessary DNS changes. Your WordPress site will then be live on WPhost's high-performance platform, leveraging Google Cloud Platform and a global CDN, ready for its final security enhancements.
Install SSL & Enforce HTTPS
As a crucial final step, we install a new SSL certificate on your migrated site and configure it to force all traffic over HTTPS. This ensures that your website is secure, all data transmitted between your site and your visitors is encrypted, and your site meets modern security standards, providing a safe and trusted Browse experience.
